Saturday 11th March 2017
We spent 5-hours on the Saturday morning upgrading the front wall of Badisa Trio Scottsdene. Now when children are removed from crisis they can come to a happy looking place and feel safe.
At eight o’clock on Saturday morning 15 volunteers arrived to help paint two coats of paint on the prepared 14 slab vibrecrete wall followed by a nice short break out of the blaring sun before Theo from the company Mural Maniac came and performed his magic.
We are extremely grateful to Theo for giving up your time and sharing his incredible talent of creating murals for this amazing project, all for the love of the community and creating awareness of orphans & vulnerable children in South Africa.
We are also very grateful to all the volunteers who gave up their Saturday morning to make a difference.
It was super hot but we all had a great time.
The community appreciated our work so much that they even brought us each a frozen JC. They have never tasted so good!
